Lux is intentionally small, and I reserve most of my schedule for established patients. New patient appointments are limited and often book several weeks to a few months ahead.
Start by searching for an available new patient appointment. If you don't see an opening that works for your schedule, you can join the Vagaro waitlist and select the days and times you're available. You will be notified if a matching appointment becomes available.
About Your Provider
My name is Rachel Barber. I'm a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and I've specialized in aesthetic medicine since 2013.
Before aesthetics, I spent years in high-acuity nursing, including emergency medicine, pediatric ICU, NICU, chemotherapy infusion and preoperative care. I went on to become a nurse practitioner because I wanted more clinical depth and a broader role in caring for patients. I earned my master's degree as a family nurse practitioner with honors from Sonoma State University in 2011.
I spent four years in a busy Santa Rosa medspa before opening Lux in 2017. I wanted to build a smaller, more personal practice where I could take my time, get to know my patients and make thoughtful recommendations based on what I believe will serve them well over time.
As a professional Nurse Practitioner I work under standardized procedures in collaboration with Dr. Marvin Trotter.

Typical Hours
Cancellation Policy
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. A minimum of 48 hours' notice is requested for any cancellations or changes. This gives the provider a chance to offer your spot to a patient on the waitlist. Cancellations made with less notice, or missed appointments, will incur a $125 fee.
